Alumni Spotlight: Samantha Simmons, Class of 2009! ✨
Samantha always knew she wanted to help people—she just wasn’t sure how at first. After graduating in 2009, she explored psychology, worked full time, and gained valuable experience at Wawa and Wawa Corporate. It wasn’t until she purchased her first home that she discovered a new path: real estate.
Since launching her career in March 2019, Samantha has built a thriving business, mentors others, and is growing her investment portfolio. She credits her time in Southeast Delco schools with helping shape her into the person she is today.
“The teachers and staff truly cared about the kids and their jobs. I felt seen when I was at school, and that alone helped me thrive,” Samantha says.
She still remembers the impact of her 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Benson, who “showed me genuine care, offered tough love when I needed it, and celebrated me with praise at just the right moments.” Samantha now brings that same energy into her real estate work.
We’re proud to celebrate Samantha’s success and the meaningful way she continues to serve others! 🌟

Students in Southeast Delco’s Gifted Program enjoyed enriching field trip experiences that connected learning with culture and the arts!
In November, students visited the University of Pennsylvania Archaeology Museum, and in December, they attended The Philadelphia Ballet’s performance of George Balanchine’s “The Nutcracker.”
